This is just a way to try out all skills and i've maxed out the skills that fits me most.
However I regret having the shouts as they don't benefit anything so if I remove 2 points in shouts then I would pick the Piercing Strike to increase the debuff of armor reduce 10% instead.

----------------------------------------------------
Just added my alternative skill build for closed beta which serves it purpose for PvP / PvE.
28 Def / 2 Sorc

The question comes:
Why the ice arrow skill?
It's because you can use it as a pulling tool.
Why no shouts and why 1 on ice thorns?
Shouts doesn't benefit me at early level and won't be much of a help at level 1. However fortifying shout will be maxed out when we get a higher level cap. So why the ice thorns? this skill is for pvp and mobbing whenever you are out of stamina. Works great to slow enemy down to chase.
Why lv 3 Rush?
Since we needed lv2 on Rush to unlock next tier of skills i'd max this out as it lowers the cooldown but also grants you the ability to use it while blocking (might be bugged in CB).
Why not MS/Slam/SoR and the other skills?
My main focus here is actually to take down enemies by not consuming my counterattack buff which grants me extra attack. However Comeback is the only skill that should be used for emergency.
as for Strike of Ruin, the animation is a bit too slow and requires a stunned person or luck to hit someone and afterwards critical hit with S.Smash. I'd rather give a suprise S.Smash and knock them away with S.Slam.
Why is stunning smash the only skill that is maxed for dps?
This is a quick move but also unblockable which deals a fair amount of damage, with Shield Slam you will be able to hold aggro for PvE usage and perhaps PvP as it knocks them down.

This build is very similar to mines, besides the fact that I'm only lv 19. But until I hit like 29~30ish, I may either max Piercing Strike or maybe even Slam depending on how well it works.
Also, didn't you also receive the Banned Book of Oblivion? Seeing that you're also an Alpha Tester, could you explain to me if it works past lv. 15?

Hi Loli, do you have an idea what are those skills in the 7th Tier in the simulator? xD

Banned book of oblivion doesn't work if you are higher level than 15 as it is only for lv 1-15.
The tier 7 skills are damage reduction, threat aoe, passive buff.
One passive which I am unsure about but it's always good to max out passives.
The steel fragment/wall icon skill is probably another supportive buff that you use whenever your teammates are in danger of getting hit to reduce damage.

Well, we're capped at 30 so we still might not be able to use those skills even if they put it on our skill tree. xD

I noticed that 1 point in the clerc hot is pretty nice at that level and i like the paladin style with a mace over a sword... :D
Maybe that shouts will be more worth on higher levels.
At the moment i noticed that they arent worth a point.

Of course, if you are a paladin then you can always swap skills here and there.
Definately not worth having the shouts if you are going as a paladin. two free points to go for either perhaps the Revitalize (HoT) or perhaps the Divine Punishment as a quick lightning strike ^^
It is possible though to go pure build and manage to be good with just level 1 on each skill. It's always good to try them out instead of having less skills. I definately suggest to try out hybrid aswell as you can experiment with other skills.

Added my alternative PvP/PvE build which is my main focus for Open Beta and perhaps my alternative character in Closed Beta. However I do use the first one just to have a grip on what skill works out.
And yes some may say that I'm copying the korean build except that I've used some extra skills on the defender.
As my old build is just a way to test them all out and of course there will be a time when everyone is focusing on certain skills to achieve those extra damage/buff.

I like the cooldown reduction for S.Smash since it helps get our shield smashes off faster... This is a cool build but I think you can take points out of rush and put them into Energetic Shout for your party and/or Slam. I've tested those extra points in Rush and it doesn't help all that much.
