With this open class/weapon system. I cant help wonder how many Trees will be completely ignored.
Each Class seams to have 3 different skill Trees. for example, Cleric has Active/Passive/Support Trees.
Who, in their right mind would use a Clerics Active skill tree when you can just as easily use Berserker or Sorceror? Other than dungeon specific builds where Holy might be the weakness, I dont see that happening.
While the system allows more variety of class structure, I wonder if it might backfire; With most ppl ending up with the same two or three combination sets.

From what I understand Clerics have some powerful holy attacks that will most likely be under active what good is a cleric who can't at least fight when needed
Character Name ~ Meeryn (until the naming bug is fixed)Combat Style ~ Berserker
Level ~ 00
Guild ~ We will see

They might make the different skill sets more roleplay differentiated than in utility, so that it's a bit more arbitrary for what build you choose

i shall try the damage tree of cleric & sorc, which gives me a better play i don't know but hope both are viable.

I do not think the varied skill tree will back fire, There are as many people wanting to be different as there are people just wanting to go thru the tried and true path.

This is some good food for thought. I've yet to get far enough as I've been busy with other things but it seems that there will most likely be a use for every skill, some might not be as good and MMOs tend towards Min-Maxing meaning that we will usually try out both but in the end someone will come back with the math saying that X is better than Y, and most people will go X until they find some way to make Y better, this is standard.
It is more likely than not that a lot of people will go 'Haha I'm half sorcerer half cleric' and others will go with the 'I'm full cleric yay' path, but in the end someone will sit down, make a guide, and then it will be put to math which is better, one will be preferred, perhaps patches will change that, perhaps not. That will probably happen around time of the beta, late beta, actual release though.
In the end I'm not sure if a lot of Berserker skills will actually work with Cleric given the weapon limitations, however cleric can probably take some defender.
I'm hoping that these work more into making 'more classes' out of only 4, wherein you might see a healing defender tank that is half cleric half defender with as much defense as he can and healing specs to heal himself and other defenders if more than one is necessary, then of course the full healing cleric, who might be able to get for example revive where other clerics couldn't manage, and then of course the attack cleric that would either go with some defender attacks or sorceror attacks and also some healing skills, and then of course the full buff cleric that focuses on buffs from all of the classes and well as healing to `boost` as much as he can.
Multiclassing seems to have it's ups and it's downs, I'm not sure what max level is intended, or max skill points for that matter, but if it is say 50 I will say that there is not a 'lot' of room for multiclassing, especially with the way that getting a 2nd level in a skill works right now.
